The High School to Post-Secondary Transition at Vancouver Island University
An event for anyone who works with high school students
Join us for a day of learning. This is your chance to learn more about VIU’s supports and services and how you can help your students during their transition to university. You also get to take part in a hands-on kinesiology activity.

Place: Nanaimo VIU campus
What to expect
You'll experience the campus with its stunning views, and you'll learn what we do at VIU to support your students. You'll attend sessions about programs, courses and services for students at VIU. You can also attend sessions with general information about supporting students.
You'll get valuable information on how students can be competitive applicants for limited entry programs. You'll have a chance to explore VIU's wellness options. And you'll get tips on how to get the most out of the VIU website.
We provide lunch, and we'll give you resources you can use in your work with students and parents.

VIU staff, faculty and students will give 10- to 15-minute presentations. Speakers include VIU representatives from educational advising, recruitment and peer-supported learning.
